I just wanted to share with you all my pineapple turkey burger recipe. I made these on the 4th of July.
As most of you know group turkey is a great alternative to beef. Healthier for you and most definitely CHEAPER. It took me years to convince my sister to use ground turkey for cooking vs ground beef worried that it wouldn’t taste very good. She recently made the switch and couldn’t be happier.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound fresh ground turkey
- Chopped onions and green peppers
- McComerick Burger Seasoning
- Chipotle Bbq Sauce
- Cooked Turkey Bacon
- Sliced Pineapples
Directions:
I really don’t measure my ingredients, I normally just wing it. I added roughly about 1/2 cup of chopped onion and green pepper mix to the ground turkey. Then added some McCormick Burger seasoning. I gently mixed the ingredients together along with a little chippolte bbq sauce, covered and put in the fridge to chill.
A few hours later I was starving and couldn’t wait along so I decided that it was time to cook them lol. You can good on the grill, stove top, oven or however you choose. Me, I used the stove top on a castiron skillet cooked on med heat for about 7 minutes each side. But do what works best for you.
When done, I added my toppings.
- Turkey bacon
- Baby spinach
- Chipotle bbq sauce
- Sharp cheddar cheese
As you can see from the picture, my bun is upside down lol…I was hungry but you get the idea lol
This recipe made about 5 burgers. I hope you enjoyed. Please share your recipes below.
